Profile | Background

Started coaching the first Buffalos FC team in Spring 2010, which was a recreational U5 Boys Team.  BFC could not have grown without the support of our coaches, team managers, sponsors, and most importantly, our parents.  I have a passion for coaching youth soccer and enjoy helping kids develop their technical skills as well as their understanding of the game and its principles.  We started in Spring 2010, with one (1) team of ten (10) players.  I am a firm believer that any player can make the next level in this sport, if they believe in themselves, put in the time & effort, and want it bad enough. I started playing soccer when I was five (5) years old.  My first introduction to competitive, or club soccer, was in 5th grade and I am proud to say I graduated HS playing for the same club with five (5) other teammates with the same accomplishment.  I was team captain from 1994-1997 for the '79 Storm Soccer Club team (Plano, TX).  I was coached and mentored by Charlie Kadupski and other top skills coaches/trainers in the North Texas Area.  In 1993, Storm lost half of its teams to a "new" club at the time called, the Dallas Texans.  We played in the NTSSA Youth Association | North Texas Soccer Premier League.  Growing up playing club soccer in North Texas we played in multiple tournaments throughout the year(s); but the most prestigious North Texas tournament we played in (multiple years) was the Dallas Cup.  In addition, to local league play and tournament(s), we traveled to Colorado, Tennessee and South Carolina. I played HS ball at Plano Senior High School. We were State Champions in 1995 and Runner-Up in 1996.  Playing for my high school was an honor; but my passion was playing for my club.  I participated in the Olympic Development Program (ODP) for Richardson, TX and was selected for the State Pool (at the time was considered top 65 players in the North Texas Area).  I came to San Antonio, TX in 1997 and played soccer at St. Mary's University for two years (1997-1999).  We were Conference Champs in 1997-1998.  In 1999, I relocated to Bryan/College Station for a year.  I returned to San Antonio in 2000 and started my career and family in 2003.  Currently, I still play on a men's soccer team in the (SASA) San Antonio Soccer Association League, for the Blades FC.  I am a member of the NSCAA (National Soccer Coaches Association of America) and have a "Special Topics" Youth Soccer Diploma (Level 3/4).  I am also a United States Soccer Federation Licensed Coach: USSF F, E & D License.  I also have a USYS (United States Youth Soccer Association) - National Youth Coaching License.  I will continue my coaching education in Nov 2017 to complete the USSF "C" License.
