“Take your victories, whatever they may be, cherish them, use them, but don't settle for them” – Mia Hamm

This quote has always been one of my favorites, but it rings more true now than ever before.  I started playing soccer when I was 8 years old for the Mays YMCA.  At the age of 9, I joined the Bulverde Rangers and continued with my team through an acquisition by the Texans and finally merging with The Lions in 2011.  From 2012-2015, I was given the honor of being named captain for my Lions club team.  During this time I was also playing High School Soccer at Smithson Valley High School.  My Club career as well as my high school career led me to play my freshman year at Concordia University in Austin.  Unfortunately, I was diagnosed with an auto-immune disorder which would ultimately end my college soccer career.  This news was devastating to me as soccer had been a focal point of my life for the past 10 years.  From that point on, I decided to take my victories and overcome the obstacles set before me.  I am currently going to school for Occupational Therapy for special needs and sick children.  I believe every child has the ability and should have the opportunity to shine.  I am very excited for the opportunity to join the buffaloes team as a tactical skills trainer and to be able to pursue my passion for being on the field to help others with the same love for the game.  I have worked with younger children throughout my soccer career and love seeing the expressions on their faces each time they overcome a skill they never thought they could do.  I am currently CPR and First Aid certified and hope to obtain my coaching certifications throughout the year.
